Wright not being fit means the manager doesn’t have to justify it but if he was, he’d have been forced to explain why Kent would’ve started over Wright and Roofe

I didn't think Helander got much wrong midweek but yet again he's dropped after one game. Is he carrying a knock or does Gerrard just have a thing for constantly changing the center half pairing. Having a big squad is good but sometimes it can be a weakness. We are now playing a right footed player in the left hand side while two naturally left footed center halfs miss out. Surely Simpson should be Helanders back up and Balogun for Goldson.
