I’m far more against that than playing them in a 4 team tournament in Australia, something that doesn’t really matter to me. Who is actually saying anything about Rangers giving them the full broomloan? all folk have mentioned that I have noticed on this site is giving them a slight increase in the corner they already get as long as it meant we would also get an increase down at parkhead . It is nothing to do with this and a completely different debate to our club actively chumming up with Celtic and agreeing to friendly match and money spinners with them. Asked about his obituary comments from the floor of the Celtic Park AGM, the former Labour minister said: "It was an error on my part. I apologised for it and corrected it immediately it was bought to my attention. "In mitigation, I can only say it was an obituary I was writing.' Fucking Australia? Of all the places to sell it to? We are playing the fucking support act for the mob who won't acknowledge what they are selling. What are we doing on our 150th anniversary year, Arsenal, Real Madrid, a legends game aww and we are going to play our part in diluting our biggest game for some coin. The tims are raging as well but at least they can sell it. We are a sideshow. There's been alot of forgiving over the last few years over big mistakes, this could be seriously bad for them. I’ve read plenty of people saying it all over social media, apparently they think it will improve the atmosphere. So basically don’t play a vile club that cover up child rapists ( true ) but at the same time let more of their fans who celebrate IRA murderers into Ibrox. Its not a deflection in any way considering the overwhelming amount of fans that don’t want to go because of the vile club we play a minimum of 4 games against per season will be there. I accept my view is very much in the minority but nevertheless it is my view.
Popular Post the cry was no 3,072
Sent this to Robertson. First time I've felt inclined to contact anyone at Ibrox, completely disillusioned tbh Hi Stewart I have been a season ticket holder for 45 years and would consider myself a loyal supporter. Throughout the past decade my support has been even more passionate than before, I believe. I backed the merchandise boycott that helped to bring about the regime change that has allowed us to steadily work our way back to the top of Scottish football and re-establish our credibility on the European stage. The financial support and hard work of the current custodians has been incredible and I am truly grateful for that. Over this period, in my opinion, the relationship between our club and our greatest rivals has deteriorated to a stage where it is essentially non-existent. There once existed a “mutual respect” at all levels between the clubs but that has completely disappeared in recent years driven, in my view, by their club at all levels. Even their permanent strap-line “One Club since 1888” is a deliberate snide dig (one of many) playing to the gallery. They have publicly proclaimed that they are “not half of anything” a sentiment that is echoed unanimously by our support and theirs. IF ONE THING UNITES THE TWO SETS OF FANS IT IS THE AGREEMENT THAT WE ARE OUR OWN CLUBS AND NOT PART OF ANY PARTNERSHIP - WE ARE RIVALS AND ENEMIES NOT FRIENDS OR PARTNERS We have returned to where we are by single-mindedly focussing on ourselves and our challenges. This approach has served us well. To get to this point and jump into bed with that lot for a friendly on the other side of the world, immediately launched as “Ange’s homecoming tour” is a PR disaster and confirms that people in senior roles at our club are seriously out of touch with the vast majority of our fans. At every level this is a ridiculous decision by the club. Moreover, in light of developments in recent days, any joint initiatives or partnerships with their brand runs the risk of our club being tarnished by association with a club that is in real danger of suffering unprecedented reputitional damage. I feel confident that if you asked 50,000 Rangers fans to make a one-off donation of £20 to offset the income generated by this farce (£30 if need be) then you would earn more, gain more support and avoid any negative association than the damage this nonsense will do. In a week where we kick off our 150 year celebrations this decision should, in my opinion, be reviewed and revised immediately. I will renew my season ticket because no amount of poor decisions will stop me watching my team, however it is my birthday on Monday and my daughter has pre-ordered the legends shirt (my first football top for a long, long time) and I have asked her to cancel this. I was going to buy the 150 whisky, I now won’t. In the past year I have spent around £1,000 on merchandise on top of 2 season tickets, that spend will stop. I love my club and know this will hurt us financially but the price of our reputation and self worth is much greater than a few tainted dollars earned by tagging along to “Ange’s homecoming” in the sun. I hope common sense prevails. Your in disappointment the brown brogue, Moody Blue Legend, HG5 and 5 others

Valance1690 4,097
The board have slowly but surely been making an arse of things over the last few months, baffling decisions that show they are completely out of touch with the fanbase, this tops it. They must've known there would be a backlash & to release it today after all the shit with them yesterday is disrespectful and a fucking joke. Feeling right now is I think they'll backtrack, there is 8 months to go before the fixture & if any protests come they'll change their mind. Also if the tarriers win the league I can't see any world where we go to Australia for essentially an Ange title party. Surprising thing is I didn't think GVB, when we hired him, would be a mouthpiece for the board, his 'comments' (if they are really his) are poor from a guy who we all thought understood the club. Some made points that we could give them a couple of sections next to the corner they are already in as long as the increased allocation was returned down there and none of our season ticket holders were left without a ticket. But this is a different topic and different debate entirely which their is already threads on.
