The timing, the first game after Beale discussed the fact that he was upholding the standards of the club I hate to say it appears to be a dig at Beale and most others inside and outside our fanbase we see it that way.

Digging out Beale while he's unbeaten is daft. If he doesn't win us the cup, sure.

But now seems daft if they're actually digging him out and not just reminding everyone of those standards.

Perhaps meant well but came across bad.

Boys and banners.  A dangerous combination.

I didn’t realise that the were the upholders of standards in the club though.

The banner isn't a dig at Beale, it is a dig at Stewart Robertson, Douglas Park etc.

They keep talking about maintaining the standards of Rangers, doing all this extra stuff.

But haven't upheld the standards that matter most.

Don't misreport it.

Think you’re misinterpreting it tbh.

Fuck knows why they’d put that up about the board the week before the cup final.

They put the banner up and sang the Tillman song, clearly a reaction to the walk-in goal and being pied by Beale / Tav after it.

Nah you're right, I interpreted it wrong.

Actually thinking on it's a dig for giving them the goal back.

Let's give Beale til after the cup final before bringing up the standards of the club.

The guy has got us to a cup final within a couple of months being in the job, and unbeaten at that.

Yes, it is likely a dig at the board (strange timing), but is clearly a dig at Beale and his quote from last week. I didn't agree with what we did, but got over it fairly quickly.

100% understand why beale done it but we can't keep banging on about standards when our team has delivered 2 trophies out of 11.

You have to differentiate between the standard of our football and the standards of actions taken by the club on and off the pitch. We should maintain the highest standards of both and just because the standard of our football performances is lower than we would all like is no reason to lower standards elsewhere.

The 11 years is nonsense. We won trophies when we were in the lower leagues and if we're not counting those trophies in the numbers then we can't count those years either as part of the 11.

at the time I was expecting to win trophies when we were down the divisions but looking back it was just stupid thinking and not realistic and bringing up 2 in 11 is just short sightedness by the idiots who created the banner.

Absolutes delusion if they think this will give the team more motivation for next week and it’s just poor timing.
