My reservation is more about the length of contract than the unknown earnings.

We've been stung before with long contracts and if, for whatever reason, it doesn’t work out, we’re left with him a long time.

Even at 25k per week (my guess is that it will be more than that), that’s over five million but that doesn’t concern me as much as the length of contract.

If the rumours are true he could have stayed at Man U and earn a lot more. If it doesn't work out I'm sure he'll have offers down south as a back up keeper.

Rumoured to be six, but I don't think we'll be offered that, I'd reckon closer to 3-4m is what we'd probably be offered, and I'd take that.

Reports said he wanted to break our wage structure, fan media also said despite being a free transfer he will be a significant financial outlay. 

If you say why believe it, then I will say you can’t just pick and choose what you want to believe. Reports are the only reason we know about any transfer, including this one, the same ones are saying he’s going to be a top earner.

I argued against signing Butland, mostly on financial grounds. However I must now get behind him.

Gerrard on a regular basis sang Kamaras praises. If he gets the Leeds job then there may be a chance that Kamara will join him. As to what fee we can expect for Kamara I have no idea. Whatever we get for him we will have made a profit.
