It was a must win game 1-0 up and a man up against St Mirren for an hour. The pressure was off as St Mirren were never going to attack us. It was a must win that we won, but the context of the victory is important.

Nobody is saying we've turned a corner or forgotten and forgiven. Were all just happy we got over the line and got a huge 3 points against a tricky in form team at a tough ground. Regarding Tav, I thought he spoke well. We all question him but he showed bottle with the spot kick and scored a second. Again he was pivotal in getting us the points. Were all dissecting the performance saying it wasn't great but we got there. That's all. Yeah, wasn’t really meaning the fans. More from the players side. No issue with them celebrating the goals, or being pleased at the win. But they should be going into this international break fucking raging at themselves, rather than laughing and fist bumping beating St Mirren. Just felt diddy club like today. Probably just being a grumpy bastard because it’s been an awful period for our club. Malkytfp1, HG5, BridgeIsBlue and 1 other

bassettger 381
We need to change the way we play. The high full backs and pedestrian passing at the back need to go. Positive was how good the academy players performed. An upgrade on the crap we spent 7.5 million on apparently. Lovelock is well ahead of the turgid Dessers and McAusland has more about him than Lammers. HG5

Yes it's a massive 3 points considering the fallout from the last two games, but if the players think we have turned a corner and all is well again, they're wrong. Today is no more than a baby step. Blues Brother 1,124
Would like to continue using some of our younger players, the enthusiasm they have is brilliant to see. Having McCausland, Lovelace, Rice and King in the squad and getter minutes is a must moving forward. Would much rather see those boys rather than Dessers, Lammers and Wright. Wish we had just promoted these boys and spent the £9m on someone to replace Lundstram. kelvd1873, plymouthranger, King Jela and 1 other

I don’t think Sima is very good, but having a bit of speed means he starts every game. This is a good and overlooked point. Under Gerrard/Beale in 55, we didn’t exactly play creative football with dazzling playmakers. But we had pace and power. And it felt like we had a group of players who were in their prime athletically. We could be relentless. Tav and Barasic were younger and could get up and down the wing all day. Morelos when fit was a beast. Kent was quick, Aribo was athletic. Then we had Bassey etc come through. Now we have Lundstrum and Jack who look like they’re running in treacle, Dessers and Lammers aren’t physical. Tav and Barasic are slowing. Souttar and Davies look like they’re one nudge away from the physio room. Etc etc graeme_4
