plus, won’t get notifications from WhatsApp group before a goal is scored etc.

I fear this could turn sour if the police get heavy handed. They took a bit of criticism back in March for being too lenient from certain quarters and could go to the other extreme this time. Serious questions would then need to be taken after their softly, softly approach at the protests yesterday.
