I back Gio in his decision. In no way would he have wanted to drop Morelos but sounds like the squad as well as the gaffer have had enough of him.

Morelos has definitely carried us in Europe, he hasn't carried us domestically.

Our best striker? Absolutely. But he didn't carry us. He's scored 14, 18, 12, 12, 11 in the league and was nowhere near our best player in the league we actually won and he's gone through large periods of time where he has been off form as you've pointed out.

As I said right before this even broke, he should be at the top levels of the game right now, but he's continuously set himself back every time.

But in this pic from Saturday, he's a bit chunky- not as fat as a barrel obv. You can make out the waistband of his shorts where his belly sticks out a bit

Whatever's brought Gio and his team (backed by the senior pros) to the point where they'd rather face a game of this significance without Alfredo anywhere near them is obviously something significant.

Love Alfie but he needed to be much better and professional today - Still not signed his contract and today won’t endear him to the coaches or his fellow teammates 

Called it on Saturday that his antics wouldn’t have gone down well with his team mates and even the coaches.

That being said I’m surprised that on the eve of one of our biggest games in years that he won’t be included or even an option off the bench when we might need a goal.

With such a short period left on his contract it wouldn’t surprise me if this is the beginning of the end tbh - Can’t see him taking it on the chin and knuckling down and can’t see the club softening after taking this stance - Such a shame
