We stop paying them, they stop loving us.  Some like Butcher seem to despise us.

Mccann and Kevin Thomson were two of the few who were fair as pundits when not on our payroll. But as you say there's none who are as bitter in our favour as their lot are for them. Guess they're just not employable.

And neither of them are overtly positive towards us or negative towards them.

In a nutshell mate.

They loved us when we paid them millions, as soon as that stops it’s on to whoever  else will pay and they will say whatever it takes to keep the taig paymasters happy

The fact these pricks are still lauded as hero’s is sickening

They call it as they see middle of the road and we think that’s great. Just shows how one sided the media has become when that makes you a stand out.

There's too ways at looking at this. On the one hand we could try and punish them in the hope they will be better spokesmen for the club. But then we risk alienating them further. And with the so few friends we have in the media we can ill afford to lose the guys we have now.

It's all the meeeedja's fault.

Watch Mckenna's body language in the split second he see's Morelos coming. Just before he kicks out he flinches, with his hands going up to his face defensively. Morelos isn't a dirty player, physical yes, but has never come anywhere near to doing anything that could put a fellow pro physical wellbeing in danger. So why does Mckenna react like that? Because of the hype.

If you'd never seen any of Morelos red cards for petulant wee flicks and had only the press reports to go on you would 100% be forgiven for thinking he was running about studs up, kneecapping his opponents.

It's not all the media's fault. Has there ever been a time when the best player in Scotland has been spoken about so negatively?

The really sad thing that’s came to light in the last few years is that it appears (never mind ex players or pundits) we really do not have any allies or professional clubs we can consider as friends in the game. In fact it’s actually the opposite, it genuinely sickens me the vitriol and hatred thrown at us by no mark clubs and their fans considering we have constantly filled out their stadia. Don’t expect to be best friends but this negative narrative created and constantly enforced re our club and fans has to be effectively challenged...

If Morelos played for the Tims he be the greatest thing since sliced bread, this in itself shows the bias against Rangers.

He'd be 20 million plus.

If "Rangers minded" pundits were slating him it would probably be racism/prejudice

There would be a strong emphasis on the fact he'd be getting targeted by opposition players. Victimised.

There would be nothing like the focus on any of his incidents. Like Wednesday for example would be 50/50 or even focusing on McKenna provoking it.

Continual soundbites from "sellik minded" pundits backing him and predicting a big sale, bright future etc.

Plays for them - The next great world class striker and he is being singled out by the legbreakers in Scottish Football and having to fight his corner, he will leave for at least 30mill

Plays for us - petulant nut job who is going to ruin his career and will amount to nothing. If he would only stop the carry on with those big naive Scottish defenders he might be worth a move to League 1 for a couple of million.

Gaza and Duncan Ferguson. SMSM is absolutely toxic.

Yeah gazza was probably the last time such negativity about the top player. Albeit gazza did bring that on himself to some extent.

Morelos has barely done a thing wrong apart a few petty incidents in matches.

Know what’s disappointed me. The ex  Rangers players terrified to speak up for us

Derek Johnston- sell out on Clyde

Gordon Daziel - sell out on Clyde
Andy little - sell out on Clyde
Ally McCoist - brutal in all honestly says what everyone wants to hear 9x out of 10 and rarely back us up
Kris Boyd - never backs us up and shouldn’t be commenting while playing
Barry Ferguson - even to an extent doesn’t back us up half as well as he should.
Steven Thomson - a big clown who was hopeless as a player also constantly puts boot in
Billy Dodds - another clown.

Just look at what Hartson, Sutton, Commons, Walker, Boner Boyd  Wilson   do for them they are always on social media and using all their platforms to help them and hurt us, we don’t have anyone  standing up for us

Our ex players are following the party line to get their little jobs on certain parts of media they work for and helping set an agenda which is now impacting us on fielding our strongest 11! And in actual fact could cost us everything this season now.

Can only hope the club fight this massively as it’s now Rangers and the fans vs rest of Scottish football. Not even our ex players back us up. Whatever happened to the “Once a Ranger always a Ranger”

It's absolutely astonishing the different attitudes from the two sets of ex players regarding press work . As SEMA says , outside of Kevin Thomson and Neil McCann , we're struggling .
