It's been plainly obvious that for years, the politicians and the media in Scotland treat tax issues with hatred and can't stop voicing copious unfounded opinions if it had the effect of making Rangers look bad.

This is absolutely critical.

Great if the poor victims receive compensation but there has to be a punitive dimension to this too.

The club knew what was going on but covered it up time and time again and the victims were effectively told to GTF. The “separate entity” line was cruel, cynical and embarrassing.

If the words “trying to pervert the course of justice” ever had any meaning, it is in the systematic and deliberate attempts to avoid responsibility which that cesspit of a club knew lay squarely on their unwashed shoulders.

Fully expect behind closed door, grubby attempts at buying silence in backrooms with non-disclosure agreements flying around like confetti.

If you look at the total ostracisation and exclusion from public life that Prince Andrew is now facing (even with “no guilt admitted” NDA), then you wonder how sponsors will feel about ongoing association with what should now be considered a toxic brand?
