Clement should have learned a thing or two from tonight.

Dortmund’s press was immense and effective. Probably something we can’t implement in the same way (can’t keep possession to recover as well or have defensive pace to play as high a line).

But the give and go killed them every time.

Fast ball into striker dropping between the lines and a bit of vision to play a winger with pace on behind.

Not that we’re playing fast wingers or have a striker who can do that..

Yeah. Defo don't have personnel to do so.

That being said in old firm game the 5 min spell we pressed high we were doing well. We are so vulnerable at the back though and obviously do not have players to take chances against them

They were so obviously jealous of the kind of atmospheres we had on our run to Seville and they want that for themselves, but as they’re generally utter shite in Europe they can’t really do that, so they delude themselves that beating Slovan Bratislava in the group stages is just as good as us beating Dortmund or Leipzig in terms of atmosphere.

It’s hilarious tbh.

I posted this before the Dortmund result last night, but I think it’s worth repeating.

It doesn’t help that the media are all too happy to feed into their delusion because they beat the likes of St. Johnstone or Falkirk.

Their complete arrogance when it comes to playing in Europe constantly backfires on them, and yet they still don’t learn.

We beat a better Dortmund team with a team which cost a fraction to assemble than them.

Surely that’s down to the tactics & approach of their arrogant prick of a manager who probably still thinks he’s an elite coach.

I really hope that last night, and potentially a few more in the CL dents their confidence or damages team spirit. The way that tosser goes on could alienate the players.

It gives me a shred of hope.

Same story every year with them in Europe. Domestically they dominate teams because everyone is basically much shiter than them, but the style they play just isnt sustainable against better quality teams. If Dortmund really wanted that could have been 9 or 10, the spaces they were giving them in midfield and defence were UNREAL because they, once again, truly believe their hype.

Our best results in Europe have come from just being tough to beat. Might not be the prettiest at times but you can go far with a lot of grit, determination, and acceptance of the reality that we play in Scotland.

That’s bang on.

Our issue is we play the same way against Ross County as we would play against Dortmund.
