Though he’s by no means great at that it’s more that Colak did next to fuck all if a chance wasn’t laid on a plate for him. Its all fine and good with the odd link up play etc, but in tight games where chances maybe are a premium, dessers is virtually unreliable to take that one golden opportunity As i said dessers isnt great at anything, its not like we can focus on one area of his game like we could with colak, morelos, miller etc, We can't say "dessers will bully defenders for 90mins" or "he'll run the channels creating space for others" or "lay them on a plate and he'll bury them" as he isn't guaranteed to do any of them Colak had his faults, but for 2million quid he at least could stick the ball away Hate bringing it up but most games we play in the opponents half anyway, for 90% of the games in scotland having a striker to link up play etc is unneeded, instead you want someone who'll be in right place right time and bury the chances we do create We were terrible under gio when colak was here, yet we still created enough chances, on a plate as you say, for colak to contribute every 88mins We are much better under clement and dessers (under him) is still at a goal contribution every 97mins We'll always create chances galore bar the odd game and the tarrier games, id much prefer a clinical, lethal cunt up front than one who'll link up the odd time but is wildly inconsistent in the box Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Neither good enough for us. Dessers better at creating chances for himself but cannae hit a barn door, Colak not bad at finishing but looked like he was towing a caravan most of the time. The obvious problem is that immediately after that he fails to convert. Sometimes even fails to take the shot. To be fair to him he was very unlucky in the first game when he robbed Lagerbielke of the ball and set up Roofe only for VAR to rule the goal out.
