Ally McCoist with Laura Woods as assistant and Jim White as first team coach. Good chemistry on Talksport and could translate to the dugout IMHO. HWFG.

As long as Laura Woods does all the media work, am I right guys lol WATP

Not difficult to understand an order of preference

1 - Proven winner top level manager

2 - The likes of McCoist/McInnes and at a push Muscat who at least understands what they'd be coming into.

3 - unproven european manager suggestion from the champ manager xG loyal,  a Pedro or Warburton clone - fuck that.

Pedro was nothing like Warburton. They wouldn’t be in the same category.

The main thing Muscat has going for him is that he’s got a very clear style, has had some success with it, and would obviously try to apply those principles here ASAP. Even more than results, the thing that made me want rid of GVB and Beale is that we never seemed to be building toward a style that would consistently break down SPL sides. Gerrard had that and, when we peaked during 55, we were borderline unstoppable.

Muscat's xGD this season is negative

The reason they're 2nd in the league is because their GK has been incredible

His style isn't as expansive as Fat Ange's from what I've read

Apparently they’ve been fucked with injuries this season.

He’ll love it here then

The next permanent appointment is the acid test for this board's ambition.

Our rivals have a manager with the following CV:

  • 15 years experience as a manager
  • 698 games managed with a 51.7% win rate.
  • 166 games as manager of Liverpool
  • Championship promotion with Swansea
  • 7 domestic trophies in Scotland inc 2x trebles & an unbeaten season
  • FA Cup + Community Shield win with Leicester City

I heard someone mention Duncan Ferguson this morning. Let that sink in.

If this board don't go and get someone with a CV in the same calibre of our rivals, they are accepting 2nd place (or worse) for the foreseeable future.  If they go out an get another rookie in the frame of Michael '22 games managed' Beale, or some roaster like Pedro Caixinha, the board need chased out of town.

The only guy with a CV anything close to that would be Marcelino and he doesnt have any connection to Rangers personally or professionally.

26 years experience, 850 games at 45%, not managed a club quite like Liverpool but his last 5 jobs were Sevilla, Villarreal, Valencia, Athletic Bilbao and Marseille with varying degrees of success. Won the Copa del Rey with Valencia in 2019 and runner up twice with Bilbao in 20 & 21. Won a promotion to La Liga with Recreativo in 2006.

Glasner has been an assistant manager, a sports co-ordinator, a Director of football and a manager.

Saves paying 4 wages imo.

He also plays 3 at the back with no out and out wingers, which is what Beale built this squad to do then never actually implemented it.
