Murdoch MacLennan SPFL Chairman has a Conflict of Interest being Chairman of INM plc, Irish media company controlled by celtic shareholders Dermot Desmond.

Murdoch MacLennan should have declared a Conflict of Interest to the SPFL Board where he’s the Chairman, when he was appointed Chairman of Independent News & Media PLC (“INM plc”) on 1st March 2018 and been forced by the SPFL board to resign.

The SPFL chairman cannot be employed by shareholders of one of the main Scottish clubs, celtic FC, and act impartially to the other clubs.

Independent News & Media PLC is controlled by celtic shareholders, Denis O’Brien and Dermot Desmond, controlling shareholder at celtic PLC. Mr O’Brien has 29.9% and Mr Desmond 15%.

Together they have almost 45%. Both gentlemen have worked together, as described in detail in the Moriaty Tribunal, investing in the Irish 2nd mobile phone company ESAT Digifone.

Murdoch MacLennan is employed by Dermot Desmond, the latter controlling shareholder of celtic PLC and Denis O’Brien, close associate of Mr Desmond and a celtic shareholder through his holdings.

How can Mr MacLennan conduct the SPFL board meetings and initiatives impartially when he is in the pocket of two of celtic Plc’s main shareholders?

He should be forced to resign immediately and if he does not go by his own hand then the other clubs should demand his termination as chairman.

Your delusional so you are, the paranoia is pouring out of you all.

Right now I’ve saved that prick BP9 from posting in this thread, this is getting beyond a joke now. We have a wee cabal of taig cunts running Scottish Football for the good of only one team.

I don’t know what’s worse to be honest, that things have got so bad or that every one else hates us so much they are ok getting it shoved up their arse by the taigs.

They hate us that much they don't care about what else goes on

We need to keep hounding these taigs out!.... media pressure and PR from our club is required consistently to highlight these cunts... they are so full of hatred and thick as fuck that they will trip themselves up at every turn due to their poor segregated education system....

When ppl like this are in power we can see why the agenda against our club has been  so bad trying to destroy us and holding us back from any success with only negative stuff allowed.

As the rest of the clubs sit back glad that there not a threat against celtic  or  Lawell  that they are left in peace

They will not stand up to them either as they are scared .

Well Scottish media what are you waiting for oops sorry no negative press against your own team one sided journalism .

These dirty, rotten, stinking, bead rattling, nappy ripping, fenian bastards are running everything here now.

Just like the magic carpet men are doing in England.

We’ll soon have Mozzie Kathliks in positions of importance!

The lack of concern in the mainstream media over real, or even perceived, conflicts of interest in the administration of the game is the ultimate indicator of an established bias.

I remember the outrage when Gordon Smith was appointed CEO of the SFA, despite being eminently qualified, due to his past history with Rangers.

Now we have:

  • direct employees of club owners with administrative oversight of the other clubs
  • individual clubs with shared commercial contracts with mainstream media outlets
  • the two clubs coming first and second in the top division for last two seasons sharing legal representation with the two governing bodies of the game
  • those same governing bodies trying to re-ignite punitive investigations into the third place club as it tries to re-establish itself commercially and competitively

And the common thread through all of these? Why, if it isn't our friends from the east end.

John Grisham would reject this as a plot for being too far-fetched.

I’m sure they weren’t happy with Campbell Ogilive being there either.

They weren't.

Ogilvie didn't do us much good either, though, when the shit hit the fan. He rolled over on his back and accepted whatever they were prepared to let him keep of his job and his dignity.
