Why did he go down?

It gets more embarrassing each time you look at it. Unfortunately there are many players out there just like Sadiq who rather than perhaps miss a sitter  (lets be honest its not a stick on that he's going to score) they would rather try to con the referee and put the pressure on one of their team mates to score a penalty.

He went down because he has no determination to score a goal and he also shat it because he thought the keeper was going to take him out.

Reminds me of when Souness played a guy called Ali Dia for Southampton brought him on a sub and then took him off again cos it was obvious he couldn't play football. I would like to think Gerrard was thinking the same but then again Gerrard doesn't really do subs until the 80th minute, then usually subs the wrong players.

Had a hand in the back from the defender and went down, expecting the keeper to rattle him.

Lewis pulled up, and made the dive just look completely ridiculous.

The hysteria is over the top. Isn’t the first or last player to do it in a Rangers shirt. He’s the easy target when in fact there were far more experienced players who were much worse yesterday.

Edit; and that without considering Gerard’s role in this.

Away tae fuck he had a tap in and instead took a dive, he's getting off lightly

The defender does clearly shove him in the side and if your running at full pelt that can be enough to put you off balance.

Which is more of a penalty? The one at Murrayfield where the player (well known as a diver) running away from goal goes down after the slightest contact or Sadiq's when your straight though on goal and pushed in the side?

It was a dive, and he is a donkey.
