Yes, that was really the only place money could come from to afford the transfers this summer. With the kit deal with SD now definitively resolved and all the legal stuff with SD swept away the path is becoming clearer for the Club to offer some more shares for sale to boost funds even further. A barrier to that remains the King vs The Takeover Panel legal case still to be resolved. All King has to do is to accept the Panel ruling and action accordingly and that problem then also goes away. Maybe the fact that hardly anyone was buying any Rangers gear so the fact that he's making no money out of it has finally gotten to him. He's there to make money, after all. There was always a case that kids should get the tops, as this just encourages them to follow in the future, but was never comfortable buying for myself. Wouldnt have a go at anyone for buying a top, its their decision to do so, and I detest the idea of fans turning on each other outside of the superstore (CH). There was a little bit of muted hostility for those who did boycott the merchandise and I think this goes to show that as a fan base we do have some power to force change.
