This is on Gerrard.  There is no point in playing Defoe up front on his own against a low block.  We had the same problem in midweek.  We need to take on Itten and play balls over their back 10 and let him win knockdowns for our technical players to pick up and make something happen with.  Trying to play through the 2 banks of 5 is just stupid.
