Leaves a bad taste the way he left, but i'll also remember what he done for us. Club was an absolute basketcase when he came, getting pumped 4 and 5 nil by the taigs, pumped by a Luxembourg pub team, Mcinnes even knocking us back. 

We were good for eachother. A big draw of playing or managing in the SPL is a move to the EPL.

If he does what Moyes or Rodgers has, he's stick on for the Liverpool job. 

I understand people being pissed off, i am as well, but i'm not naive to modern day football.

Just listened to H&H daily update and David Edgar said Beale will be a multi millionaire with the Villa contract. Its clear moneys been a big part of the decision I would say.

Lets be honest - Stevie G is leaving us with a good squad and in a strong position. What i dont get is the way he left. Few weeks ago we were listening to ''Do i look happy? Dont ask me silly questions then'' and suddenly Aston fuckin Villa comes knocking on the door and he is gone. But alright, i would welcome GVB or someone else capable.

He was happy at the the time and Villa job wasn’t on offer. He’s had a chance to join a very well backed premier league team with a good history and a chance to quadruple his and his colleagues salaries. He probably wasn’t going to get a better offer than that bar Liverpool. He was always going to leave one day.

i know things can change very quickly in football but the one thing that's really pissing me off right now is the fact that he broke down during that interview after Walter Smith had passed away and we were all going 'oh, he really gets Rangers, its in his heart' etc further fuelled by all the 'i'm happy/were only just beginning/ this is a special club' pish.

Played us all (or the vast majority) like a fucking fiddle and made us all look like a bunch of fannies.

I could actually understand if he had left to go to Newcastle as that is a once in a life time opportunity as they are going to rule the roost for years once they get this season out the road, but fucking Villa? VILLA!!!!

And to compound matters he's fucking legged it with the entire first team management.

Don’t like this narrative at all tbh.

Being upset because somebody he knew and viewed as a mentor passed away is a real, raw human emotion. It is so much more than something to hold up and use as an example of how much Gerrard got the club.

Infact, I think it’s cuntish, below the belt, low behaviour to try and weaponise how upset he was by Smith’s passing and imply that it was simply put on to try and lead us a merry dance about how he felt about the club.
