He does have a bit of the Boyd’s about him in that if we need the ball held up etc then it should be Alfie, against the shite I’d happily play him every week, he’s lethal and his finishing is superb.

mind he was written off after blackpool

really looking forward to Lawrence getting back as well

Aye against most teams you'd back him to score here, will rack them up. Alfie gives us something else and means we can utilise him for the big games.

Been donks since we had that option

which is why almost every other manager would try and have them both on the pitch at the same time

Very few managers would play 2 up top these days .The only way would be to play Morelos out on the right of the front 3 .That’s where he first started out a long time ago .Don’t think his strengths are suited to that these days .

I must admit, Alfie was rotten tonight. In hindsight, the handsome Croat would have been the better option.

I think he's the better option if we're the team doing the attacking which wasn't going to happen tonite , even if we'd tried to .

Morelos or Colak up front would have mattered not a jot tonight.

Completely starved of the ball and support.

Colak had two good chances in limited minutes. Hardly starved.

The subs made an impact on the complexion of the game for Colak.

Morelos was starved but didn't come wanting for it the way he usually does.

For the first 70 minutes Morelos only had punts up to him.

We had a spell at end when Liverpool had clearly chucked it.

No criticism for Morelos or Colak tonight, the issue we have in team is absolutely glaring.

Kent and Tillman offered nothing at all.  The midfield was very poor.

Morelos control and passing was terrible
