To those in the know , whats going on with this boy  , why is he still here ? It doesnt look like hes ever going to play under VB no matter how bad the other two play , so why the fuck was he not sold and a new keeper brought in ?

Imo he's there as a cheap option in case the other 2 get injured.

He may or may not be good enough, certainly in the OF game he played he did well. Unfortunately with us it's too often not about form and the player in possession keeping the jersey, it's about reputation and what they've delivered in the past.

One of the other two will start midweek and he'll remain on the outside looking in.

I think it might be as simple as he qualifies a home grown player for Europe.  Personally I think GVB just needs to give him a chance now considering how poor McLaughlin has been and McGregor's struggles last season.

They'd still then need to bring in a 3rd choice cheap keeper happy not to even get stripped most matchdays.

You would imagine he would be better with the ball at his feet as this will of been coached into him from an early age. He didn't look out of place last season when he came in during Covid and kept a clean sheet against the tarriers, making some decent stops in the process. We have to move on from McGregor and he can't be any worse than McLaughlin, who now concedes on average a goal a game. To not play him midweek must of been demoralising for him watching 40 year old McGregor getting game time.

Nothing against McGregor but re-signing him was wrong and as a club we seem to have real issues with refreshing the squad.

McGregor should never have been given a contract, we needed a new keeper who is good enough to go straight into the team, after that shite yesterday I would give McCrorie his chance.

I definitely think it's worth considering bringing McCrorie into the team at some point. As has been said previously, we need to be building for the future and in McCrorie we could potentially have a keeper there that could be our number one for the next ten years. 

As far as i remember, he hasn't let us down when he has played, and after the way the two senior keepers have played this season, he deserves his chance.

The lad will never get a chance. Hes had 4 loans, one to a SPL team and he played well in the European/OF game last season.

The sub appearance by McGregor in the SC final should have been his swansong. The fact our GK options are a long past it McGregor and an inept McLaughlin says a lot about our board and aspirations

The club fucked about with him in the summer so he’s refusing to sign a new contract (it expires in the summer) so unless that changes he’ll sign a pre-contract in January. There is a lot of interest in him from down south

wont get a chance, we are the fucking worst at playing youth and giving them decent game time. Look at lowrys treatment - pretty much our best player whenever he appeared but still shunted out of the team for no reason what so ever

With the best will in the world, he’s not exactly set the heather alight on loan. Struggled for game time at Livingston.

Did well when called upon with a couple of good saves in the OF game, but isnt what we need either.

We need a good, proven quality keeper. Absolute negligence that we didn’t. Lies 100% at the feet of Wilson.

So next summer we'll have McLaughlin, the other 2 will be away, and we'll still probably not try to sign a starting keeper.

The 2 high pressure games McCrorie played for us he done absolutely nothing wrong. However that was under Gerrard and Gio likes to play from the back which is where McCrorie might struggle(only guessing). After yesterday surely he must be better than mclaughlin!?!?

Dont think many ever thought he was a number one , we all wanted him to get a chance because of how bad McGregor is. I feel the same with McCrorie now and he might turn out to be just as bad.

We are well and truly fucked now , every one of us thought getting to the CL would mean new blood would have been brought in , we done nothing again and we will pay for it big time in the coming weeks/months.

Come on now, he was full of endeavour and he did well at times but was never of the quality required to be a regular starter for us particularly if we want to be a CL groups/last few rounds of the Europa League type team.

We're going to have issues just throwing McCrorie straight into a Champions League game, Mcgregor should start and then try and prepare McCrorie going forward we should have replaced our No 1 there were available keepers on a free. The warning signs were there about McLaughlin and he should never have been given this chance.
