The gaffers comments on the ref go against the club's position. Clement didn't need to mention anything about it tbh

The club recommended that Collum didn't referee our games. The club don't get a say. Clement, a bigger man than some of those running the club, responded to a question posed to him with dignity. We all know Collum fucked up, as a support we will probably always let him know. We move on.

Not for me. Thought the first was a pretty tame shot that most keepers save 99 times out 100.

Just think when he first started, teams hadn’t seen him before and he was somewhat effective.

Now every time he gets the ball he cuts back inside. But the dangerous balls for strikers are the ones cut back from the byeline. Either by him or putting Tav in behind.

Not sure the stats show differently either. He averages a G+A every 4 games. Kent was slated when he averaged a g+a every 2 games.

Sima is 1 in 2 with 15 goals.

Don’t want this to come across like I don’t rate the kid. Think he’s a terrific prospect. But at the moment I think it’s an area where we are a bit weak in

Aberdeen doubled up on him all night, so they saw him as a threat.

The manager is right. Those above him were at fault.

Maybe so but don't comment publicly. Doesn't matter what he privately thinks. Just comes across as not being aligned from top down.

I disagree that the club was wrong they didn’t go far enough

Calling for Collum to not ref our games was fucking mental.

I cba getting into it again but we had an open goal regarding the offiseide/lines debacle but as normal missed it.

Clement is no fool, he knows exactly what he is doing regarding the press and their questions and also those in important positions at club.

He's came out the presser in a position of strength.  Not being critical of ref before a game will go down well in the msm and with refs and publicly subtly flexing his muscles with the Board for future matters.

He's happy that Collum is the ref we all make mistakes. Has spoken in the club about the statement put out.

He came across as pretty sensible to me in the interview.

No point in him making enemies of officials who will be calling the shots in future games.

If it gets personal, Rangers manager to official  it will almost certainly backfire.

I think Cement is looking at the bigger picture and using his charisma to diffuse the situation to our benefit.

He can't rant and rave as we do, even though he feels the same way.

He is the Rangers manager. He has to stand back, bite his tongue and get on with winning silverware.

Maybe he’s just sick of folk whining about decisions that go against the team, and all the negative energy that comes with it when he prefers to focus on the positives.

Indeed. Even when those complaints are justified, obsessing about them doesn't get us points. Football is full of grey areas when it comes to important  decisions, and that's part of the excitement.

Clement can't control the quality/ impartiality of the officials.

He can control our squad of players though, and is doing a grand job of it imo.

We went about it totally the wrong way, rather than calling out the refs in question we should’ve been making a point to say they’re working under impossible circumstances due to the pressure put on them before those games by the media and the other side. We all know Collum is a fucking rat but it was a good chance to highlight that they get decisions because they basically beg for them in the build up. Instead we decided to ask that one of the SFA’s favourite refs doesn’t get to referee us again, was never going to happen

Went on a wee rant about that last night. Grateful to admin for just deleting it. Got the message.
