Given the complete lack of coverage of their sordid crimes in general, it genuinely wouldn't surprise me if they somehow had some kind of catch-all super injunction against the Scottish media for anything related to child abuse/grooming and celtic, and this got caught up in that.

Apparently they have a friendly being played this afternoon against Sheffield Wednesday - for any other club, you'd have thought they would have to head the stuff about the Thumb off well before kick-off to prevent their new manager from being hit with questions about it in one of his first media outings, especially given their sponsor's PR fiasco yesterday related to it. Instead, they've got their usual tone-deaf social media postings and they'll probably make him captain for the game.

There is something slightly sinister about the whole affair. Even the slightest hint of a sexual allegation meets mainstream media. Harris, Saville, Weinstein and so on. Even in the football world when it happens, it's widely reported (Adam Johnson for instance). Somehow this club, this institution seems to avoid detection.

It seems there is a real sense from within that things will quietly just disappear and be forgotten. There is almost, almost an exception - so much so that even the fans of the institution respond with whataboutery and excuses and acceptance. Over the last couple days it hasn't shocked me but has almost made me laugh seeing how many of them are defending Griffith's. I believe in innocent until proven guilty but I also believe there is no smoke without fire and here we have an individual who appears to have a track record of (at best) shady behaviour who is and has been in a position of power where he can influence and manipulate children. I'm seeing language used by them refering to her as a "lassie" and so on but make no mistake this is a child! 

I don't think anything could ever deter me from supporting Rangers. However I don't know if I could stand back and watch them and defend them if they had covered up and been a huge part in harbouring child abusers and then deflecting blame. The moral compass of the institution is so far gone I doubt they could find Ireland.

Correct. What they should have done is deal with this matter in the 60's and put procedures in place to make sure it could not happen again. They chose not to and went with sweep sweep.

Aye it was Ok Flex, who btw never had any form of punishment and went onto play last season after Dubai gate.  Someone on twitter said some MSM outlets have been to the girls house so I hope more comes out of it.

Will be interesting to see if he is involved in their friendly game today I think. If they put him in the squad it shows they truly don't give a fuck and should be hounded. If they don't name him then it looks like an admission of guilt.
