Depressingly true. They play a pish poor Jablonec in a tie they're already 2 up, then Hearts and St Mirren at home. Realistically 3 confidence boosting wins on top of them pumping Dundee there.

Meanwhile we play Dunfermline in a no-win match (i.e. if we don't win comprehensively it's bad for the confidence, if we do win comprehensively it was expected anyway) followed by two tough Europa games then away to St Mirren.

There is not one single leader amongst them. When the going gets tough they crumble.

Rangers are a better side than Malmo, we destroyed them in the first half but then shat our pants when an inferior side had one less player on the park. There can be no other explanation for that than mental weakness.

They were given a free run at the title last season by a Celtic side that was a comedy of errors. There was never a point when they were under pressure, if they'd have taken it to the wire do you think that mob of charlatans would have stood up to the challenge? Would they fuck, they'd have reverted to type and shat the bed again.

Gerrard has to the a massive share of the blame as well. Instead of building whilst we were on top, we've rested on our laurels. They should have been developing new patterns of play and formations. Instead it's the same old, pedestrian, one paced, overly elaborate shite and no plan B.

This isn't a blip in form. This is a side without ideas and without character.

Reality now is players will need to be sold to balance the books. I'm now expecting Morelos and Kamara to be sold in the coming weeks. Even if we do make europa again.

Players will get sold that's inevitable. It's now a question of how much from the sales can be invested back into the side. We're running at a deficient that has to be addressed. 

This is where wilson and that need to come up with some good affordable options.

He does have a point.  We have lacked bottle in the last three games.   Last season the other lot self-destructed and that took a lot of pressure off us.

Agreed.  Good start against Livi got early goal then huffed and puffed until they went down to 10 men with about 15 mins to go before getting 2 late goals.  It was not a good performance.   The next three games we have continued to dominate possession but barely laid a finger on the opposition.

Got to think that the high tempo Liverpool style that we’ve copied is in some way contributing to this.

We are all gutted and rightly so . 

 

The next steps will tell us what we need to know about Gerrard and our team and club . If anyone isn't up to the task we will change and move forward like we have always done , second best isn't good enough . 

 

This is yet another watershed moment , let's hope something positive comes of it even if it means serious change .
