Call It All Out - Selectarianism at its finest

Bad Robot

I nearly missed this but again sectarianism seems to be a one way street with this bigot as it seems that abusing RCs is bad but abusing Proddies is ok and if you highlight it then you’re a rat 🤷‍♂️

Offended by everything but ashamed of nothing certainly sums it up and how much can she get away with especially with her role corrupting the minds of the youth in one of our so called prestigious universities.

Chair of anti-sectarian charity sparks social media storm over 'rat stunt' comments following radio DJ sacking.

Suzie McGuire was axed by Nation Radio after posting a video on social media which included sectarian language but Jeanette Findlay of Call It Out instead turned her anger on those critical of the presenter.

The chair of an anti-sectarian charity has been mocked on social media after she criticised Twitter users for reporting bigoted behaviour.

Jeanette Findlay, a founder of Call It Out, called one Twitter user a 'rat' after they brought up reported sectarian behaviour from radio DJ Suzie McGuire.

We told how McGuire was axed by Nation Radioafter she shared a video from Hampden as Celtictriumphed against Hibs in Sunday's Premier Sports Cup final.

The clip, which has since been deleted, appeared to show McGuire singing 'F*** the Huns' to the tune of Shakin' Stevens' 'Merry Christmas Everyone'.

But despite claiming to stand up against anti-Irish racism, Findlay instead turned her ire on one person who had reported McGuire to her employer.

She said: "Contacting someone's employer for using the word Hun or, indeed, most other words on social media is a low-life rat stunt.

"If you don't realise that, there is no hope for you. I feel sorry for anyone related to you - it would be so embarrassing."

The term hun originated in Northern Ireland as a derogatory term for a protestant. It is also used to refer to fans of Rangers.

Anti-sectarian charity Nil by Mouth consider the word to be sectarian.

Twitter users were quick to turn on Findlay for her remarks, accusing her of hypocrisy.

One said: "Aren't you part of an organisation called 'Call it out'? Surely you should want to see an end to all sectarian behaviour".

Another wrote: "Quite a staggering level of hypocrisy here. Call it all out".

One user accused Findlay of "Selectaranisim".

Established in 2018, Call It Out claims on its website to campaign "against anti-Irish racism and anti-Catholic bigotry".

It adds: "We are a coordinated voice for the multi-generational Irish community in Scotland – highlighting prejudice, challenging stereotypes, and interacting with the Scottish Government at all levels as an effective representative of the Irish diaspora."

CODE OF PRACTICE ON UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR

37.2  AIMS OF THE CODE OF PRACTICE

37.2.1  To ensure the fair, honest and consistent treatment of all individuals with whom the University interacts, through any means of contact and communication.

37.2.2  To make the University community and members of the public aware of what constitutes unacceptable behaviour and the action that will be taken to manage this.

37.2.3  To ensure that University students and staff do not suffer as a result of the unacceptable behaviour of others and are not placed at risk.

37.3  DEFINITION OF UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR

37.3.1  It is understood that, in upsetting or distressing circumstances, and in certain forms or stages of ill health, people may act out of character and may become persistent, angry or upset. However, where it leads to aggressive behaviour or unreasonable demands, it is considered unacceptable. Similarly, behaviour which disrupts normal University activities, intentionally or not, is considered unacceptable. Members of the University community are entitled to be treated with respect and courtesy.

The University also has procedures for students and staff who consider that they are being harassed (see §37.7).

37.3.2  Aggressive/Abusive Behaviour

Any behaviour or language (spoken or written) which causes staff or students to feel unduly concerned, afraid, threatened or abused is not acceptable. Aggressive/abusive behaviour might include any of the following:

demeaning, abusive, indecent or offensive language or comments (including those in writing);

threatening behaviour or language, or actual threats;

written, verbal or physical harassment;

comments that discriminate on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, age, disability, religion and belief or other irrelevant distinction;

unsubstantiated allegations;

use of aggressive or inappropriate gestures.

1.1 The following are examples of matters that are normally regarded as gross misconduct:

(a) Theft or fraud;

(b) Physical violence (actual or threatened);

(c) Deliberate and serious damage to property;

(d) Unlawful discrimination, harassment, bullying or intimidation against employees, contractors, students or members of the public on the grounds of sex, sexual orientation, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy and maternity, gender reassignment, race, disability, religion or belief, or age which contravenes the University’s Equality Policy or Dignity at Work and Study Policy;

So is calling someone a rat intimidating them as they spoke out due to their own affiliation and beliefs?

Sadly our education system has been overrun for a number of years. It’s merely a brainwashing indoctrination that good parents need to fight against on a daily basis.

They seem to have plenty money to build all these big plush Catholic schools. Get rid of all that, and the brainwashing shite that goes with it, then at least it's a start.
