Bassey

He's our best left back by a mile now Might be a bit rough around the edges but he has one thing Borna never really has had and that's genuine fight.

Borna is done now when it matters as has been shown too often this season so Bassey needs to stay there and keep developing.

The big lad has been immense this season. Better at LB that CB but doesn't let himself down in either position. Power, controlled aggression, good technical ball skills, improving positional play. He's come on leaps and bounds and he's only 22.

If you ever watch any of his interviews he's also a humble and likeable guy who has come from a tough background.

In that second half I was actually most impressed with his reading of situations which is new for him.

The manager put him in a position where he could use his physicality to get out and cut those balls across the park out. Bassey though was very good are reading when to go and when to stay slightly more narrow.

Another good performance from him and his drive to get that ball into the box for the second was just great.
