Braga - Coefficient Points

Obviously, it depends on what happens in Ukraine however this tie could be massive for us! A draw in either of these matches would see us overtake Dynamo Kiev in terms of club coefficient, which would have us seeded in every round including the play off round!

If we don’t win the EL, we want Barca or Leipzig to win it as that then puts us in to Q3 instead of Q2 (two ties as a seeded team to negotiate).

Based on our recent European form, we would need a Malmo level of fuck up for us not to get into the Champions League next season when you see the teams we should be facing if we’re seeded!

What teams should we be facing?

Some slippery teams there even if seeded.

Achievable, though. Or at least, it should be.

Realistically, the only team that should give us a tough tie over 2 legs would be PSV. We’re not gonna get an easier chance to qualify (other than winning the fucking league this season)

Great post mate. Been looking for this info. Goes to show the season still has a lot of life left in it despite everything.

100%

Obviously we should be looking to deal with Braga and on to the semis but the benefit of getting a result in one of the two games is massive regardless of the tie as a whole!

Kiev and Brugges would be no walk in the park.

All depends on rebuilds. If we fuck it up most of those fixtures are tricky.

Our best chance of getting to the CL is replacing Ross Wilson with high calibre now.

Our potential route is a decent carrot to attract signings for a DoF/ manager that know what they're doing.

Route may look good but our squad is going to be ripped apart come the summer.

Very unlikely we will get through those ties with the ins and outs around the corner.

Yep. We would basically need new signings to come in, gel and hit the ground running.

Got humped by Malmo, struggled against shite from Armenia and here Scott has us breezing the UCL qualifiers.

🙄

And yet we're in the quarter finals of the Europa. None of the teams we are likely to face are any better than those we've already beat this season.

As for the squad, it'll happen over the summer, not all at the start. The likes of Morelos could still be there for the qualifiers.

The way things are going for us, Mac City will somehow find themselves unseeded and needing to qualify for the CL, drawing us.

The way our shitebag players seem to perform when expected to be beaten, id wager us to do better against city than against a mob like malmo lol

Where did you read this? Bert Kassies has us in Q3 regardless after Russia got barred.

I think it’s on the basis that the ban is until further notice, so theoretically that could be lifted by next season, though unlikely!
