In my opinion Tillman hasn’t come here to sit on the bench. He was 2nd choice striker to Lewandowski last season (didn’t play much for obvious reasons)

Plus after Haliday’s comments about his supposed ability I don’t see him not starting.

I agree and I think he is going to be a big player but right now, Lawrence holds that spot. 

I picked him in my 11 but pretty sure Lawrence will play.

Got a feeling it'll be Wright if Matondo doesn't make it. Am getting tired waiting on Scott finding some consistency and i'd rather have Lawrence and Kent switching with Tillman in behind.

Pre-season was a bit of a mixed bag, would have liked to see the full squad available for this game.

I still think we're still getting up to speed on fitness, this will be a tight game.

Not city centre but there is an RSC in Gateshead across the Tyne.

Would prefer to batter them as the scum will score a few against the Sheep on Sunday, but tricky opener and 3 points is what is priority. 

Bar last season our opening games have been tight since our return to the top flight.

I like the sound of this but don't think so for first game of the season.  Can't see too many of the new starts all starting the first game.  Likely just Souttar, Colak and possibly Lawrence.

I think we’re as well throwing them in if they’re attackers. We’re well enough structured and used to the league at the back / midfield. Let the forward players go and do their thing.

I’d be happy enough with Wright out there while we are waiting on Matondo. I’d be happy never seeing Sakala ever again
