Another thing from yesterday... Again they play the dark arts better. Fouls to stop counter attacks in ways that it's tough for cards to be given. Players going down with injuries when we have the upper hand so as to disrupt us. Important things in a match.

100% spot on. Things like CCV standing over Morelos and having a niggle to provoke him.

I’d add to that general game management. We are fucking terrible at breaking the game up when they are in the ascendency.

We know we expend a lot of energy in the first 30 to match them. We shd be fucking well drilled by now to know we’re vulnerable towards the end of the half.

When you’re tired you make mistakes and drop runners. So slow the game down, win the easy fouls, roll around a bit. Make the game stop/start and get into half time. It’s fucked us several times now where we’ve done fine for 30. Then they begin to get on top and we concede. 
 

Their manager even said it in the press conference. So many of their goals come from pressure and being relentless. Mistakes come from feeling like you’re being suffocated and panic. We are brutal at composing ourselves, doing the dark arts and getting through the tough spells
