Tav's time is up.

Also, this thread is a riddy. Sick of the Tavernier scape-goat nonsense. He's absolutely tremendous and would be a standout in any of our title winning teams over the years.

That 1st half was as bad as anything I've seen from a Rangers captain. He sets the standard and that was horrific.

No hiding from that.

Take tavs penalties out his stats and his appeal is much less salubrious

Nah, he’s got quite a few assists too. He was shocking today and this season hasn’t been his finest defensively or delivery wise tbh but he always seems to pop up when needed.

Hes one of our most important players but has shown he is incapable of defending against Maeda (or players with his pace).  Wouldnt be surprised if it was his last season with us anyway with saudi cash sniffing about tbh.

It’s not the point. He’s been great for us. We are weak at the back that any half decent team exploits. We need to get the balance right and recruit better in forward positions.

I don’t get what the point is. It’s a shite thread by the usual suspects who have it in for Tav.

His performance today was utterly indefensible. And his mistake was punished with pretty bad luck.

But unlike half the lot that have also been shite. He’s had multiple performances that have won us games.

After how many seasons Tav has been with us, you’d think we’d learn that we have to take the rough with the smooth in terms of his strengths and weaknesses.  That said, he was pretty awful first half.  Showed balls to step up and put the penalty away after missing his last two.

are we shitting on tav again ? seems the haters have went full circle on him after what is clearly a good season.

He has had a great season but we need to be better defensively and recruit better in forward areas. The best Rangers teams were always solid first and foremost. We need to get the balance right moving forward.

No he’s not. The one’s close to having great seasons are Butland and Lundstram at a push.

We need better players in general but Tav isnt one of the ones I'd be looking to replace. We need 2 new CBs first. Hopefully ones who like heading a ball and can also be a threat in the opposition box at corners

Great in terms of assists and goals. We wouldn’t be close at this time of the season without him.

Absolutely shat the bed again.

Great pen, but pish in general.

He could have scored another and had  an assist and still had a bad game .

His overall play has been poor probably since the change of manager. But for some strange reason he still supplies the numbers 😳

He'd a fucking stinker today, but he's not near the biggest problem we have.

We've a right footed midfielder at left back whilst Barisic is on the bench but can't be trusted, we struggle to dominate midfield v them and actually need Sterling in there, and up front none of our starting 4 were at the races or near good enough. Our bench was stronger than our forward starters ffs.

Sort out some of that shite and there's less focus on Tav.

And Maeda destroys every fullback for pace not just Tav.

Yimaz had Maeda in his pocket at Parkead.

Freak first goal and not a great game today but not having that he's the big problem in that team. If not for him this season we are not in the position in the league we are. Far more important positions need addressing.

Next season should we move Tav into the right of a midfield 3? This limits his defensive woes but allows for the positives still, assists and goals.

Only if your fuckin mental.

Tav had fuck all ahead of him with Wright.

This ^^^^^

said it at the start, wright wasn’t doubling up or making himself available to help Tav out. Not saying Tav had a good game btw. I just think Wright is such a shite football player it didn’t help.

I hope Wright never plays for us again.

Other positions do need addressing but this is one position where we have the answer available.

It's holding Sterling progress back by not playing himin his best position.

Give him a run of games at RB and he'll develop into an excellent player for us worth millions.
