Sounded like another obsessed manky tramp more interested in pointing out he couldn't see anybody working.

Hopefully the obvious substantial progress that has now been seen in the latest images will go some way to silencing some of our enemies (and some friends it has to be said) fantasy claims about the supposed major problems with the Stand that was either going to see Ibrox out of commission for at least a year, or see the Club bankrupted completely due to the enormous repair bill. A surprising development for me has been the seeming willingness of Glasgow City Council (no friends of RFC) to help out, with the dispensation to allow for 24/7 shifts, and the apparent assurance that the necessary safety inspections and associated paperwork/certificates, will be processed swiftly on the completion of the building works. We shall see.

Again hopefully, once the works are finally complete and we are back home, the reason why these works are being done, which has been largely forgotten in all the hysteria, will come to the fore and we will see the Four Wheel Loyal enjoy the huge, long overdue upgrade to their facilities at Ibrox. Once more, hopefully, with the very painful lesson having being learned, next years works on the Broomloan will go much more to plan. Every piece of material required should be on hand before the first hammer is lifted, and a request made to the League to arrange our first two or three games next season as away fixtures, just in case we need another few weeks to get things done.

Do you really think this is the real reason.

Obviously there's also a small increase in capacity, but you're making it sound as if there's some some suspect ulterior motive.

It’s been an amaturish shambles, and heads should roll for how it’s happened, but it’s been done with good intentions after years of fans asking for it.

LOL

An understandable and justified reaction to perhaps some misguided optimism on my part I suppose. But hey, you never know, with a new Chief Exec in place who is in any way competent, we may get to the stage where we could just about arrange a piss up in a brewery.

Multi million pound project and we’ve just gave the old seats a clean with a baby wipe and put them back down.

Utterly pathetic. Would've been an opportunity to replace seats across the stadium if they were needing it.

This is good news

Indeed, and we should welcome it with open arms as there has been precious little good news coming our way. As mentioned above, there had been talk of Ibrox being out of use for the entire season, so the end of September for our return home is obviously the best case scenario in what has been an almighty clusterfuck of a situation.

No way will we get an away fixture for the first game next season.

We'll be at home unfurling the flag.

Optimistic Loyal.

We don't have any home games scheduled until the 21st after tomorrow.

If drawn with a home fixture first game  in the Europa League we absolutely must play that at Ibrox even if it's with 3 or 3 1/2 stands open.

Otherwise we will have to play all our home European games at Hampden right through to February.
