(When I helped with the testing at Lewes who come under Sussex FA  rules, the players had to wait the normal time for results to be sent off and returned)

I have a bit of sympathy for them, we live in an age where young folk are now probably the biggest carriers but have the most resistance due to age, this has created an attitude with some, they are pushing boundaries, they are not as frightened as they should be, and they are not as restricted as they should be by their peers. 

The punishment for this will have a severe effect on their lives. And those around them.

They will have been tested regularly for covid, on a regular basis and on game days, so they will have known they did not have symptoms. However that is no excuse either, as there is a constant threat of contracting it, carrying it and passing it on. They will be punished by the club, the authorities and by the let down they created for the club and its fans.  And their promising futures are no longer in their own hands. All very stupid and sad. 

Hopefully others will learn from this, and I expect the club will be hammering down the message to everyone again, first thing tomorrow morning. 

 

Couldn't disagree more strongly with anyone having sympathy for them. Fucking ludicrous IMO to have any sympathy for them. I have sympathy for the nurses seeing people die alone everyday cause their families canny be with them. I have sympathy for old people like my Grandad living alone after losing his wife and nobody can get into see him. I have sympathy for for cunts working in key industries who literally put their lives at risk so we can get a loaf of bread no matter how much they are shiting themselves.

I have no sympathy for young lads who get to play fitba wae mates everyday and have comfortable a.f lives intentionally and consciously fucking out great club over.

The club will not sack them as they are assets to the club, if they are moved on in the summer then so be it. 

This isn't a bad error of judgement. In the current climate firstly from a health perspective to them and others there is no excusing it.

Then there's the potential impact on the team, the league, Europe etc. After Jones and Edmundson doing this I'm sure the players were told that this can't be repeated. It's gross misconduct. Hammer them.

The only potential saving grace could be that it was only players (not the nurses chat that's been mentioned) in the property. It doesn't make it near right, but it could save some Rangers careers. If there were outsiders not connected to the club and not in the football bubble then its game over for them all.

Funny you should say that, kind of what I was leaning towards as well. If they’re having a quiet beer within their own bubble where they are all tested, it’s far more forgivable than getting steaming with random members of the public.
