God is certainly making some team up there this past year, the old skool back together.

"The Goalie" was and is the all time greatest Scottish goalkeeper of this generation by quite a distance.

Lucky enough to have been in his company once or twice over the years, more so his frequent trips to Belfast, where Andy did not hide his colours, the exact oppisite.

Another extremely sad day for the Institution.

Growing up, everybody who stuck a keepers tap on wanted to be "The Goalie"

As Tommy Burns once famously said - `When I pass away, it will say on my tombstone: "Andy Goram broke my heart".

Simply the best

RIP Andy. The best keeper I've seen play for us. He was brand new to my brother and I when we had a tour of Ibrox as wee boys in the 90s. I’ll never forget some of the saves he made against the taigs. Sleep easy 😔

Trying to look at it that it was relatively quick and he didn't suffer pain for many months and years. But fuck cancer, bastard of a disease.

Andy had many good friends all over Northern Ireland, more the heartland that is the Shankill Road. 

Lets just say andy put his money where his mouth was. 

Him and big hateley were regular vistors to my local anytime there was a speakers night or dinner being held over here.

Wee story from my mate, whos club runs from the third tree in Garvagh.

They brung Andy over for a a weekend, digs, food the lot...

Andy enjoyed himself that much he stayed for a ful week... believe it or not 😜

On dropping him at the airport, Andy let the boy know he left an envelope behind the bar to pay for his weeks stay. The boys were raging as that was their hospitality.
