Popular Post JCDBigBear 10,865
Wilson should follow Gio out of the door and the sooner the better. His signings and the contracts given have been mostly awful. We have a first team squad of about 26 and a first team wage bill of approx £40 million which is an average wage of £1.5 million per year. We are not getting value for money. Our squad has a fairly high average age and we have few players with any really decent potential sell-on fee. The last three transfer windows have been extremely poor. 16 players brought in by fees, frees or loans. Total cost in transfers and signing-on fees is in the region of £20 million. Popular Post BlueKnight87 17,444
Absolutely woeful transfer record with an inflated wage budget under his watch. Board will keep in on but. They'll see the sales as the positive. He should be sacked. Weegeorge8, JCDBigBear, HG5 and 3 others

NeoGeo7 10,627
So matondo was a successful signing, Davies was a successful signing, Ramsay was a successful loan. If Gio goes because our on field performances then surely Wilson goes for the recruitment performance Robster and HG5
Popular Post bassettger 381
Having to sack a manager who he scouted who has failed, poor player recruitment over multiple transfer windows and an exposed position regarding expiring contracts for Kent and Morelos with no obvious big player sales. He should have gone with Gio. Wilson does not have the ability or contacts required. kelvd1873, BlueAvenger, Davemac and 3 others

BlueVanguard 7,069
The thought of going for a new manager and he has Ross Wilson scouting and signing gives me the fear. Moody Blue 9,531
GVB all but confirmed with the ‘transfers is a collective decision’ that Wilson is responsible for the signings debacle we’ve had. They can laud up the Patterson and Bassey sales as evidence he’s doing a cracking job but for every one of those, you have fucks ups like letting Goldson (although he re-signed), Morelos and Kent running down contracts, spunking money on utter drivel and wasting money on supposed marquee signing of Ramsey who missed more games than he played. Huge fuck ups that have cost the club millions of pounds. I’d like to know the actual strategy here, if there is one of course. If it’s to follow the Patterson / Bassey model, why didn’t they move on Morelos and Kent? There is no way we couldn’t have had their agents find them clubs. theclothmonster and HG5

kelvd1873 7,403
Is it true we are paying Matondo 30k a week? I can’t find anything to back this but that’s what he was apparently on at schalke. I heard one of the guests on the Rangers rabble podcast say he couldn’t believe how much he heard Matondo was on and he shouldn’t even be on half of what he is. if Matondo is on anywhere near 30k Wilson should be chased out the door. As I noted in my original post the average annual wage cost is approx £1.5 million per first team player. Given that at least 12 of them will be getting nowhere near that sum then the average for the rest (including Matondo) will be considerably more than £1.5M. How depressing is that thought??? esquire8 43,656
Park and Bennett clearly see Park Jr and the executive board as doing a good job. Executive board and Park Jr using the first team management to hide their own massive failings. As long as the accounts look good they'll be going nowhere.
