The ex Rangers Scottish pundits feel absolutely fine slagging off and giving abuse to the likes of Morelos and other foreign players/managers.

But when it’s the likes of McGregor, Davis, Arfield, Jack etc… they keep their mouth shut because they are their mates or are probably worried they might run into them on the TV circuit soon; whereas they think Alfie probably can’t understand what they said so feel confident enough to slag him off at every opportunity.

They also pick on Morelos in an attempt to suck up to the non Rangers fans and somehow show they aren’t biased. They see him as an easy target.

He's clearly overreacted here, and I don't think he's a fan of Morelos in general which I usually agree with him about, and I think he's  probably been fed up with previous Morelos incidents and let a bit of bias come out there and he's wrongly jumped the gun with his comments.

Think he's fucked it and overreacted here as I've said, but I still really like McCann. I'm assuming he'll realise he's made a tit of it and will feel stupid now. But having been one of the best Rangers pundits or even pundits in general for years now then I don't think much more needs said other than he's made an arse of it here in one moment.

They get sucked into the Scottish media narrative that Morelos is a moody guy, always doing stuff off the ball and looking to cause aggravation with opposing players and fans, and it’s always his fault. It’s never he’s hounded by fans, constantly singled out by players, some of whom are overly aggressive towards him and a lot of it is off the ball.

It’s always been one way and that’s to demonise him.
