*****The Official Dundee v Rangers Match Thread*****

Recommended Posts

Bigger picture is that Clement absolutely deserves a close season to make some changes.

However, the sad reality is that he will be operating in the bargain-basement with limited resources whilst seliick will be better equipped to further strengthen with guaranteed CL cash and a possible £20 million for O'Riley.

The fact is that money talks in diddy leagues like the SPFL and the resources gap to sellick may be unbridgeable no matter how good Clement proves to be.

Yeah it worked in the Europa but honestly thought Bassey was wasted at centre back. Was the dream player for a full back in our team then he was a victim of that centre half run at Ajax. They needed a LB and a CB and signed Bassey as the centre half with some other boy as the left back. Then they were stunned he wasn’t a silky ball playing centre back, madness

What i would give for the big man now

Cant see how we can blame this on Clement.

Maybe he made a few errors picking the team, but the dramatic drop off has come from the players.

We cant keep sacking managers in the hope we will find one that magically turns these players into champions.

Clear out needed, Goldson is done, Lundstrum can fuck off, along with Barasic, Lawrence, Roofe, Jack, and half a dozen others.

Lack of investment coming back to bite us on the arse, that and what we do invest into the playing squad has been wasted on duffers like Dessers and Lammers!

If you want to blame anyone, blame the players and the board.

You just said a few errors picking the team, nailed it right there.

Was right about Raskin. Hope I'm wrong here..

Diomande has technical ability but he plays like there isn’t a brain cell in his head

Jury still out on him and we have missed him but that says more about that wank Lawrence than anyone else

Bigger disaster than you just witnessed?

This is hyperbolic but what we’re doing is the equivalent of Real Madrid moving Jude Bellingham to left back because Mendy is injured. He’s the only fit midfielder worth a fuck and he’s shoved out into an area where he’s absolutely useless. Just fucks us in two positions rather than just at left back.

Sterling stepped into the middle of the park once earlier, cleaned out a Dundee player and won the ball. Was the only bit of bite we showed the full game

Its nothing like madrid moving bellingham to left back lol

If he does what's needing done and strips that defence out, and half the hangers on our wage bill could reduce significantly. Get any money for the likes of Tav, Goldson, Davies, Raskin, Barisic that we can. Jack, Roofe, those guys must be on a serious wedge.

yeh we can reduce the wages. But we’re not getting any significant fees.

Butland our only really sellable asset. Even then not convinced we’d get loads for him.

And we’re looking at needing to bring in 6-7 players

Clement’s comments after that tonight wouldn’t suggest he absolutely deserves a close season

When we appointed Clement, I remember listening to a podcast they did on him and they interviewed a Monaco fan.

The one negative that stuck out was that he didn’t know how to get a side out of a rut. Safe to say we’re seeing that now, some fucking timing

He's at the wrong club then given we have a squad full of players who regardless of form and confidence are always one slight setback away from dropping into the same rut.

A few errors picking the team doesn't result in getting beat 3-2 by Ross County or Drawing with Dundee.

I feel like we've seen this movie before, players have chucked it.

We’re are in for an uninspiring summer if we think a squad clear out is a possibility.

No one’s buying the higher earners in our squad, and we’re not paying them off either.

Already spent a bit of the summer transfer budget on Cortes and Diomande.

We were fortunate to get Koppen, and Clement, but they will be gone as soon as they realise how much the mistakes from the past are going to hinder their time with us.

I'm not even angry tbh. Just deflated and tired, very, very tired.

Deep down I knew these "core leader" players would eventually let us down again.

Was just hoping against hope.

It's like taking back the cheating wife or girlfriend, but deep down you know that she will just fuck you up again.

Time to cut all ties with Tav, Goldson, Barisic, Lundstram and a few others.

The marriage has got to be over this time.

It's irrepairable.

Too much scar tissue.

They have to go.

Deluded and he's made himself sound extremely foolish. He's also looking like a shell of the man and character he was when he first joined us.

All the passion and animation you seen from him when he joined has just gone
