that statement just looks shite - why would "Rangers agreed to waive its rights to substantial compensation"

Because they were apparently going to be sacked, so they saved in paying compensation. The board felt it was worth getting rid for nothing right now, rather than risking having to pay compensation.  Mibbe????

Is it possible that when it was reported that Warburton was down south speaking to a player, Would it might be the case he was actually down speaking to officials from Nottingham forrest.

He claimed today in the press conference he was down speaking to a coach about a player that the coach knew and a player Rangers might be interested in.

Why would Warburton be down speaking to a coach,Isn't that the job of our head of recruitment.

Because we want rid and it's a sweetener to push the deal through

we dont need to push anything if another club wants him. Thats like you accepting another job, telling your current employer  - who then pay your prospective employer to get rid of you!

Sky sports have now confirmed the forest rumour. Apparently there was an offer for the trio on Wednesday that never came to fruition - Lockwood tried to extend the terms until the end of the season but the board ratified the terms with king today and ended their reign. Apparently they were getting the sack next week anyway and board have now saved £700k.

MW has been a snake.

That's what I said earlier, it's possible.

Sky saying Rangers have reiterated statement, tendered resignation on Wednesday via agent and directors, granted on Wednesday but request on Thursday. Conference call with King this evening led to statement being released tonight

Conference call?  Not only does he miss key games, he even stays away during a major crisis. Now watch him try to pull a stunt to get the season tickets renewals.

Was actually going to blast the board for this shambles (and it is tbh) but seems they've done the right thing here. Warburton and co are the arseholes in this.

Makes it worse somehow - I thought they had the integrity our management teams have been lacking recently

If the three of them are gone without us having to pay their contracts then the board have pulled off a master stroke.

God help them if it comes out that we have to pay them............

If they didn't resign then of course we'd need to give compensation for terminating their contracts

If they offered up a resignation that has been accepted then we don't need to pay them anything

I suppose we're waiting to see what is true
