celtic have now appealed — arguing Postecoglou’s 25 years’ experience should see him granted an exemption. But a Uefa spokesperson revealed it could be a lengthy process, leaving the Yokohama F Marinos boss in limbo. A Uefa spokesperson said: “Mr Postecoglou does not currently hold the Uefa Pro Licence.
“A recognition of competence procedure has been initiated. The process could take several weeks. We don’t have any further information to provide at this stage.”

Postecoglou started out in management in 1996 and spent four years in charge of Australia from 2013-17.

His only European coaching gig was for Greek minnows Panachaiki in 2008, but Uefa have now tightened rules. celtic remain confident he will be allowed to take over as boss, probably on the proviso he starts his Pro License. It’s understood talks with Marinos have progressed well this week and compensation won’t be an issue.

But Celts could face a nervy wait to get a deal over the line, with the Hoops squad due back for pre-season on June 17. It’s now almost 100 days since Neil Lennon left the club.

But they've been tracking him for months 🤣🤣

Lawwell pretty much always takes a family holiday to St Andrews after the season is finished. See him about quite a bit over the years there.

Add to that he ain't an employee of the tarriers anymore since Tuesday.

Moyes likes St Andrews for preseason training.

Aye, I think West Ham fans are getting a bit nervy because the extension hasn't been officially confirmed and I'm sure Everton are at least considering it. Doubt it'll happen though. Espirito Santo will go to Everton and Moyes will stay at WH. One thing's for certain: neither of them will end up at the Paedodome, despite what their fans might wish for or speculate.

This evangelising phenomenon is something that is peculiar to both us and them that I've never come across with supporters from other teams.

I've met a few ex-pat bears overseas who go and do this where they are obsessed in converting all their friends and people they meet to becoming Rangers fans like they are some kind of Broxi Bear Paul the Apostle. It's really fucking weird.

I have never come across that. Probably because football is a minority sport in Nova Scotia. Or soccer as they call it. On the rare occasions I have been asked I state that I am a Rangers fan and leave it at that.

Oh, come on, I hate celtic as much as the next guy but it's ludicrous to pretend that we don't all remember and cherish his timeless performances as "John" in 'Vlad's Legacy' (2016), "Dr. Serius Stanley" in 'Rottentail' (2018), and - of course - "Unnamed Character" in 'The Devil's Dozen' (2013).

On FF now and again you see snippets of it too where people who have been working in Canada or the US or Australia will say something like  ''I've been educating the locals about The Famous".
