Neilson just said there he's no problem playing him and called it 'part and parcel of football'. Confirmed he knew of talks before announcement he'd signed too.

Neilson has to say this. Hearts are pushing for the maximum fee from us including sell on clauses, so they're hardly going to say he won't feature for the rest of the season.

Why not? Other managers have. Was exactly what happened with Glen Kamara at Dundee.

Kamara couldn't buy a game for Dundee when he signed for us.

That’s not true.  He had played just about every game up until the window in January before moving to us.  In the December he played four of their 5 games. Including against the scum and us.

that’s just a really strange comment to make tbh.

And once his pre-contract was signed, he was told he wouldn't play for Dundee again -being dropped out the squad completely for all of Dundee's games after.

Signed pre-contract with us on Jan 5 and was dropped from the squad for games v Hearts and Killie in the league and two Scottish cup games against Queen of the South before signing on Jan 31.

Why would we give them a sell on clause?   We have signed him for free and it's up to Hearts now as £100k tops I would give them or just sit a wait and get him for fuck all in July

That was Kamara, not Dundee, who pushed that situation. Kamara told them he'd refuse to play for the rest of the season, stopped training properly etc. He made very, very clear that he would just be a disruptive influence at Dundee unless they let him go ASAP. This is direct from the mouth of a Dundee player who played with Glen

I don't think Souttar will do the same thing.

Aye, they basically had no choice.

Kamara didn't see eye to eye with McIntyre - he was close to McCann. Think that played into it, not sure he'd have done the same thing if McCann was still manager at that point.

Its fucking up there with that cunt that drove about on deadline day down in England trying to find a club to sign him!

Honestly struggle to imagine Kamara doing or saying that! He comes across as one of the nicest and most professional players around.

Its so in your face im not even annoyed by it, as Dundee are in irrelevance, its just funny. If he did that with us, he would be closing in on Whittaker and Naismith levels of hate though!

Seems a bit unrelated to the game mate, we lost to a penalty from a Morelos handball. Was Souttar going in goal for the penalty?

Aye I’m not meaning it in relation to anything tonight

Just frustrated and rather we strengthened as much as possible now rather than wait

Souttar is streets ahead of Bassey at CB and if Helander/Balogun aren’t back available for next Wednesday then we need to pay up and get him in.

Aye but that’s still not really keeping with the fact his presence tonight doesn’t stop a Morelos handball
