It was obvious even at the end of last season that a mobile goalkeeper improved the defence straight away. 

Can't really blame Butland for either of the goals that he's conceded and he has made a few decent saves so far.

At this juncture, Butland seems the signing that has improved the team the most.

I don't think he will have the "wow" factor saves McGregor had, and I expect his style will give the odd clanger - but having a competent, mobile keeper, who is good with ball..... It's quite obviously solved a big problem.

What impresses me most about him is whenever there's a cross ball now I don't have that fear I trust Butland will come and collect it.

Jack is the last of my worries, his command of penalty area is very pleasing which helps the defenders enormously.

Don't think we've seen enough of him yet to comment how good or not he'll be for us. People were saying he was outstanding after a few games where he barely had to make a save. Made one with his feet from someone at a tight-ish angle in a previous game which was a good stop, everything else had been fairly routine.

Today was the first time he actually had a top save to make and he made it. So that's definitely increased my confidence in him. If he keeps that level up he'll be a top keeper for us.

consistent, big saves, commands his area, always organising the defenders and get a bit shouty which makes my winky twitch a wee bit.

Looking to be a massive signing for us so far. Kept us in the game tonight and against Livingston at the weekend when they could have equalised.

Only criticism is he doesn't look that great at pass backs which he might get caught out with and cost us a goal
