Ben was one of the first posters I ‘befriended’ on here about 15 years go, maybe more, I remember winding up Muff with him and Sandy way back when I was still in school, we got banned, he survived the cull. Even though we’d never actually properly met, he’d always give me a nod at Ibrox if we walked past each other. Such a respectful, caring person. Funny lad too. I can only imagine how much of a privilege it must have been for those who did properly know him. He sent me a reply on Friday about a post I made considering getting an assistance dog for my PTSD. Told me to take care and sent such kind words. Fucksake man. I can’t believe that. Rest easy, Ben. I raise a glass to you my absent friend. Mental health issues are no joke, I’ve had my own experiences with it for years now, through my partner. If anybody else out there is struggling then please talk to someone. Thoughts with his family and friends as well as those on here who knew him personally. Its a poignant reminder that no one is immune to troubles in their life and no one should ever feel they cant reach out for help. Must admit I rarely ever venture out of the Bears' Den/Transfer/Manager forums so had no idea he was even facing these personal problems if it had been something which had been mentioned in the mental health threads etc. Always thought he was a good admin and a good poster on here.
