Big test. St Johnstone have been notoriously hard for us to beat. They are well versed and organised. Draws away to Galatasaray and another positive result in Europe show how tough they are to break down. The good news is, they have lost their best players and we have a guy called Morelos.

Will take any 3 points or 1 point and a leg break for Rooney.

AS you've said they've just sold their two best players - I think that changes things slightly.

Fucking unreal that we, as champions, start with a home game obviously and by game 5 have played more away than home

And no its not a conspiracy story, its a basic question as to how fucking stupid the fixture computer is when it simply cannot schedule the OF home one week and away the next

So we are probably looking at:

McGregor

Patterson Goldson Balogun Bassey

Lundstram Davis Kamara

Kent Morelos Aribo/Wright

Thats assuming Helander and Roofe are out.

He might play Aribo in midfield (:panic:imo) in place of Lundstram but otherwise that should be enough to beat a team who have just lost their captain and their best player.

Take a 1-0 win right now to be honest.

I think it will be almost that team selection.
Tavernier over Patterson maybe, depends on fitness I guess.

Not ideal that a few of our players travelled, the good news is Balogun, Roofe, Barisic and Aribo only played one game.

Helander and Patterson as well but both have slight injuries. Hopefully both available for the weekend.

Kamara played two but one was a friendly that wouldn't have took much out of him.

Helander played 88 mins on Wed evening.  I assume he went off at that point as Sweden were trying to get a late equaliser.
