His passing is much crisper now and he did get stuck in.
Drunk and disorderly. 14,512
He is progressing and can play in at least 3 positions. Jury is still out, but I hope he will become a reliable squad player in time at least. Hopefully more. Adaptable, and physical player whith dips in form so far imo. He is adapting to our style of play though and I genuinely think he is more than capable of stepping up a few gears for us.
gmcf 34,319
Don't think he's as bad as made out but I do think it will be difficult for him as I don't see him being a regular starter once Davies gets up to speed . Bar one or two lapses on Tuesday he was brilliant never mind 'not as bad as made out'. Leon King puts in a performance like that and we'd all be raving. siamthedanger 2,857
Before this season I always seen him as a no bad player who doesn’t make mistakes. He’s made a fair few already this season but then again he’s getting a lot more minutes. I’m assuming he’ll be getting replaced by Davies once he’s up to speed, which in itself is a strange one as to why it’s taking him this long…
bluenoz 30,944
If Davies takes the spot away from Sands because he is better, then we are looking good because Sands has been pretty good so far. El-Hadji Spit RFC

But hey , I said that about Bassey this time last season and look what happened to him 👍

FFS Steve Davis had 3 in quick succession tonight. I don't think Sands is the issue in defence. Sands is a defensive midfielder and yet Goldson, Tav and Barisic seem poorer at defending . That tells you where the defensive problems lie. bluenose48 and Bluekev
Malkytfp1 18,614
Wasn't filled with confidence seeing him in the starting line up but was decent tonight. Comfortable on the ball coming out from the back.

eskbankloyal 19,446
Was very good in the first half. His passing to beat their press was excellent but struggled to do it in the second half, unfortunately. Bluekev

WATP84JRL 1,084
Have to admit i wasn't sold on this lad when he first came, but he is starting to show his pedigree and not to forget he is being played out of position, good performance tonight, got himself about won his 50/50s, slow burner, growing on me
Valance1690 3,847
Thought as a make shift centre half, he done well tonight, seems to have been fucked in there as a last resort Still a bit perplexed as to why the 4million LB sits on the bench & the other 4million CB can't even make the squad falkirkNS

Inigo 32,534
Thought both the CBs looked a bit vulnerable second half. Not like it's an easy forward line to play against, though.

bluenoz 30,944
He's not a makeshift centre-half. he played there 50% of the time for New York when they won the league.
King Jela 20,383
Very good first half, the better of the 2 at cb. When the team collapsed in the 2nd half his weaknesses as a central defender were on show. Defence is a major worry, as is the keeper.
Clemdog 39,389
Doesn’t deserve a lot of the criticism he gets, thought first half he was really good. I just wish we had a more physical side as that part is an issue when it comes to defending pieces. We only really have Goldson in there as a presence in the air. cstamomusa

Sands was our best player outside colak n davis. 6 centre backs and we are playing our loan project defensive midfielder in a tie that could cost us 40 million 🙈 Ben davies been here a month and coukd have started more games, now he has a knock also. STEPPS BOY 74,167
He done ok but was noticeable that they targeted him with De Jongs physical presence and he lost every header one of which nearly led to them scoring. Every team now will target Sands at back post. SeparateEntityMyArse and ayro
