Arfield Roofe Kent

Tough away game in Europe, I'd go back to similar tactics that Gerrard would employ. We need defensive solidity, so it feels only right to have those 3 screening the CBs.

The obvious issue is no Morelos, but there is no alternative to Roofe. Hopefully their CBs aren't as physical and he can do a better job at holding the ball up than he did vs Carter-Vickers.

Last time we played them Morelos was out and we played Kamberi up front alongside Hagi and Kent.

Sands Goldson Bassey

Tavernier                                            Barasic

Jack Lundstram kamara

Roofe Kent

Would  prefer Balogun on rhs of back three but with international duty and the game against the mhanks im worried we would end up with another down injured  from over playing him

Tin hat on. but I wonder what Sakala would do as main striker, I know it's left field and he has no composure but Braga won't be preparing for that.

I’d be tempted with that too. Braga played such a high line last time, and Roofe just isn’t working in the role.

Sakala is honking, let's not beat around the bush with him, the old flash of brilliance but he's honking, people just want him to be good because he shows the right attitude

Salaka through the middle is akin to walter going away to osasuna and playing sebo as the lone front man

He is, apart from pace he offers nothing. But Braga play a very high line and pace is what we need. Roofe offers fuck all.

Had a good effort on Sunday from memory? Only player to really test Hart.

Don't complicate it. Roofe as the striker. Ramsey behind and Kent on the wing.

So the exact same setup as Sunday then?

No idea who Braga have at CB but if it's 2 relatively big guys then you'll see Roofe get back pocketed again for 90 minutes

At the very least it might give us the chance to resurrect the Sebo chant................."Sakala's on, we're taking the piss" :mutley:

Ramsey to support Roofe with Kent and Sakala as out balls / pace on the counter. Hopefully we don't set up too defensive and invite pressure as we can't defend corners or cross balls well enough.
