In what way was Ramsay a rat bastard?

Just bitter after that pen. Also for a player who at the time was on £400k or whatever it was a week, you expect them to make more of an impact than being a bit part player who can't force themselves into the starting line-up. Can't imagine he made much of an effort here.

A very good performance once we started playing through our midfield and had a bit more movement - those early tactics of balls short into Sima and Matondo’s feet were crazy, given their worst attribute is controlling a ball.

Davies was superb. Loved that little run he went on as well, won the ball really well and drove us forward.

This was infuriating, we tried that ball to Simas feet out wide with his back to goal 10+ times against PSV and he lost it every single time without fail why we thought we’d run it back tonight early on is beyond me

Have to say Jack did really well when he came on last night. Got us out at couple of sticky moments

(Imagine that’s the first thing I thought about waking up this morning ffs 😃)

Jacks unfortunate that his legs aren't what they used to be, he's good when opposition mids are tiring

I've stuck up for you on here in the past mate.

In hindsight I called you a crackpot so apologies for that and understand your cheeky bastard reply.

With a clean slate from both of us can you address the points I highlighted and explain further?

Before when we were beating sides like Ralid Vienna etc (who are no where near the status of Betis) the place was bouncing afterwards. We were all delighted to be winning in Europe against respectable sides.

I think there are a few issues behind that:

1. Now we have come to expect to win in Europe and don't appreciate it like we maybe should.

2. I think that the fans, unconsciously, see our European journey as being an arc, with Seville being the peak and now we are on the slide. Anything less than the final is not as exciting any more.

3. For most Europe is seen as a bonus. The league is the bread and butter, so if we are doing badly in the league, then what happens in Europe is not that important.

I also think that most fans have made their minds up on Beale and winning in Europe is unlikely to have much impact in changing any minds.

I think he's at the stage where he's going to find it very very difficult to recover and convicne fans that hes the right man for the job.

If we win a game now the attitude is "well we should be winning anyway". Even if we win 5 on the trot, it will only shift the dial in a posotive direction very slightly, he will get some goodwill, but not a lot and it would be easily lost with one bad performance.

If you compare goodwill towards Beale as like a bank account then he is well in to his over draft. A win reduces his overdraft slightly, but he still remains over drawn.

Point 3 is the biggest one for me. Europe is a bonus to be enjoyed, but we desperately need domestic success.

Ibrox was pretty flat last night.

Disagree about points 1 and 2 but agree with rest from point 3 down.

There’s a disconnect between fans and team/manager just now and the only way that returns is if we’re top of the league and winning games.

I think there deffo something to 1 and 2. Over the last 30/40 years if Rangers play Betis or any other Spanish side in Europe, we are not winning. Beating a La Liga side  when you play in Scotland is a pretty big deal. But I don't think the atmosphere at full time reflected that.

There’s an apathy amongst the support, and rightly so after our start to the season, hence the atmosphere.

As you and others have said, we’re just one bad result away from a mutiny again.
