James Tavernier is a club legend wether some people think so or not, his stats are up there with the very best fullbacks in world football and no I'm not saying hes anywhere near as good a defender as the worlds best fullbacks but we certainly wont appreciate what we have had until hes gone.

The modern wing back is such a different role than the traditiona right back we wete brought up with. Attack that much and it leaves you vulnerable.

I’ve been one of tav’s critics over the years, but he does step up in moments and we are harsh on him at times because we have our standards, hopefully with another taste of silverware we can kick on and get the league won!

Absolutely delighted for him tonight, and great to see what it meant to him, but we're a fickle bunch, myself included, when it comes to Tav. 

For a long time I thought his first names were Freddie Franklin Steven. 

I feel big Phil will know how to get the best out of Tav for the rest of his time at the club. Rangers legend status guaranteed.
