Very good point mate. That’s the toughest wall I can remember coming up against. We just kept going at them and they finally broke. Other teams who want to try this might think twice.

I fully cop to being a panic merchant in the first half but it was looking eerily reminiscent of past 2 seasons. Gerrard said in the summer he was adding new tools to unlock packed defences. Two of those got the job done today in Roofe and Itten so hopefully another sign of how we have progressed. Need to keep collecting max points over this busy period and I do hope we can recover top form and a huge performance on the 2nd.

Brilliant result today. Over an hour behind, not playing great for most of it and still winning the game. The mark of champions is not playing well and winning!

Shite way to start the game but I always feel losing a goal that early is the best time to do it. We huffed and puffed in the first half and I thought our general play was a lot better than it was against St Mirren but missed just a wee bit of luck or a run of the ball I thought. Not stunning but not absolutely terrible like Wednesday.

I've got to give it to the manager big credit today with the changes, he made them when needed and gave Aribo, Hagi and Itten time to get into the game which helped them effect it later on.

I complained at half time we were trying to go through Motherwell too much instead of not getting in behind and getting to the byline but we did it loads in the second due to his changes. There's been a lot of criticism of the subs but they are talented and had something to prove today and they showed it.

Today we seen how much better is our squad is compared to last year that we can bring on the likes of Hagi, Aribo and Itten and they can effect the game.

I'm absolutely delighted tonight with our SIXTEEN point lead. On to St Johnstone where hopefully things go a lot smoother!

this team does have the makings of a championship side, we just need to kick on and keep producing the goods. Especially since there are some very tough games coming up, before February we'll have played Aberdeen, celtic and hibs twice. But of course we cant disrespect teams like ross county or st mirren, they are more than capable of getting a result too.
