The authorities must be fucking delighted about the pandemic being on when we win this.

They would have caused some amount of bother in the town if the pubs were open like normal.

Did they no start stabbing fuck out of each other in the Merchant City a few years back after an old firm game? Think it might have been one we won, which was a rarity at the time.

A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed following Sunday's Old Firm game.

The 47-year-old was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary after a brawl in the Merchant City.

Police, who are treating the attack as attempted murder, are investigating whether the trouble was linked to the celtic v Rangers game on Sunday.

Two other men, aged 29 and 30, were also taken to hospital after being injured in the large-scale disturbance on Blackfriars Street.

Police were called to incident at around 5.05pm.

Detective Inspector Peter Crombie said: "We are currently going through CCTV and speaking to those who were in the area at the time to try to establish exactly what happened here.

"We are treating the attack on the 47 year-old man as attempted murder, and the attacks on the 29 and 30 year-old men as serious assaults.

"There may have been more people injured in this incident who did not seek medical treatment last night and we would appeal for them to come forward and speak to us.

"We also know that there were a number of people in the area who may have got caught up in it, or stopped to see what was going on. We would ask these people to check back and see if they have any mobile phone footage or images that can help us.

"If you were driving in the area, you may also have dash-cam footage that can help - either prior to the incident taking place or in the aftermath.

"Anyone with any information about the incident, or any footage of before, during or after the incident is urged to get in contact with police."

The incident followed a heated Old Firm clash at celtic Park that saw two Rangers players sent off.

celtic won the game 2-1 thanks to a late winner from James Forrest after Ryan Kent had cancelled out Odsonne Edouard's first-half opener.

Alfredo Morelos was shown a red card for an elbow on Scott Brown during the first half and Andy Halliday was sent off after the game for his involvement in an angry clash between the two sides.

And that’s after a victory.

Has anybody EVER been heavily punished for fielding an ineligible player, far less banned from Europe the following season?

(Aside from the obvious loss of revenue from being barred from the next round & hope of progress)

Legia Warsaw beat the mutants 4-1 in Warsaw, then pumped them 0-2 at Murrayfield.
They stuck a reserve on with minutes to go with the score 6-1 on aggregate, and he just happened to be ineligible.
Within minutes sleekit pete had eufa on the phone 'informing' on Warsaw, and the away leg was awarded to the shameless bastards 3-0 which put them through on away goals.
Had to put that in incase people had forgot.

Was it not 3 1 home 3 0 away mate?
