My wife has just got her second jag on Sunday there, she's 34. A good chance a good number of the squad are waiting on the second one.

I'm sure we actually had a drop in centre at Ibrox over the summer, I know there was one at hampden, my point was that a lot of the young public were refusing their appointments so the drop in centre was to encourage people to come along without an appointment

Sorry but that is just not true,  Someone with natural immunity has immunity to the entire virus, whereas the vaccines are narrowly targeted on a single spike protein element only.  Immunity may be compromised by variants that arise but you would expect those exposed to the entire virus, not just a spike protein,  would have superior immunity (latest studies show 6 or 7 times better to current variants).

These vaccines do not stop you catching or transmitting the virus, the manufacturers don’t claim they do.  They reduce the likelihood of serious illness / death to those most at risk from the virus, the elderly and the immune compromised.  So your not really protecting others by taking it.

Sorry but this is just not even truer!

Here is a published study by the CDC which goes into it.

https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/s0806-vaccination-protection.html

The spiked protein is the most important part to target, as this is specific to Sars-Cov-2 and therefor is perfect as marker. Your bodies own natural response is also targeted at these spiked proteins as this is what is reactive to the antibodies.

Both natural immunity and the vaccine protect you, but having both is better still, so the argument for not getting the vaccine just does not exist unless you are known to be allergic to a component of the vaccine.

It is also over simplistic nonsense to say that 'you are not protecting others by getting the vaccine' as studies have shown that vaccines can actually reduce transmission of the virus by between 40%-60% in a household scenario.

Even the very basic principle that if you have covid seriously, then you are likely to be infectious for a longer period as the virus is still rampant in your system, so you have a greater window to transmit through.

It's a no brainer. Get the vaccine. Help yourself and help others. We've had vaccines all our lives. BCG etc. Don't understand why people are so sceptical now.
