Mangers sometimes like to bring in players they have worked with before. 

We need to move players on especially if they won't sign new deals. Players like Kent, Morelos and Aribo entering last year of thier deals in the summer. 

If he comes in and takes one or two for good money so be it.

Really not sure what positions Villa are weak in but like folk have said Kent, Aribo and Kamara would be the obvious. Might fancy Goldson since he’d be a freebie. 
 

He was constantly bigging up our players value so if he did come in I’m sure we’d be quick to remind Villa of that and make sure we get decent value.

I would say Kent is a strong candidate. When he scored his wonder goal the other day, the first person he celebrated with was Gerrard. There is a strong relationship there. Gerrard can save a little face by getting us 3x his value.

Kamara is the only one that would be worth poaching.  Remember  he's now got 10s of millions avaiable.

The only one I can see them coming in for would be Aribo.  He was one of Gerrard's favourites and for good reason he's a top player who could easily play in the EPL.  Being able to play in a lot of different positions would also help but hopefully Gerrard and Aston Villa stay away from our players.... Apart from Brandon Barker, we will "reluctantly" accept any bid for him!
