Fear no foe 2,178
Nah but seriously, the guy that was supposed to turn them around and modernise the club gets punted as soon as the season tickets, europa packages and strips have been sold. Less than a week after the transfer window ended and he's been replaced with a Lawell ally (puppet) as the look to crowbar Gordon bloody Strachan back into the setup lol. Big Ange will be feeling a little more isolated tonight I bet Fantastic news he is away tbh. He had a vision of turning them into a well run football club with big emphasis on DOF and sports science, instead they've fucked him and decided to continue with an old decrepit lazy way of football management. They could get away with that when we were a fucking shambles, difference is we aren't anymore, the longer they stay a shambles the longer we stay on top. The Specky Forum Organiser 64,707
It is understood, however, that the reasons behind the departure came after what was regarded as an inauspicious impression in the opening months of McKay’s time in charge. The feeling within the club was that it would be best for all parties if ties were severed now rather than a continuation with an appointment that was deemed to have been an imperfect fit. Hopefully that’s not the case. if it is, then I wish them all the very best of luck. Getting back to him leaving the position would your first instinct be to walk away from your highly paid job if it was a personal issue or would you and your employers not look at taking an unspecified amount of time off, especially as they seem to suggest they have someone at the club who can fill the position temporally? All seems strange. Assegai, NI, plumbGER and 2 others

For me it’s one of three things. 1. He genuinely has a family crisis, eg serious illness. 2. The scale of the job and the 24/7 pressure was just too much for him. Some players wilt under the pressure of playing for us or the filth, may well be the case that the same applies to senior management too. 3. His background (SRU) was not conducive to hearing all the horror stories about the atrocities committed in the name of the filth and the sheer number of them. Very possible that, once he grasped the scale of the abuse and the decades of cover-ups, he decided he didn’t want tainted forever by association. I believe that was the reason that Eddie Howe didn’t want to be similarly stained. I truly can’t imagine another scenario outside of these three.
