ForeverAndEver 72,135
Rangers have fined club captain Lee Wallace the maximum four weeks' wages after a dressing-room bust-up with former manager Graeme Murty, STV can reveal. Veteran striker Kenny Miller, 38, has also been dealt a financial punishment, which is believed to be less severe. The club took action after Wallace, 30, vented his anger at Murty following the 4-0 Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to celtic in April, with team-mate Miller also heavily critical. The Rangers hierarchy felt that the pair crossed a line and, after talks with managing director Stewart Robertson and human resources staff, both players were suspended on full pay and told to stay away. With Heart and Hand 8,951
this is a joke. If the board feel it was appropriate to sack him then whys it inappropriate for the Clubs captain and one of its most experienced players to vent their anger at what was an utterly disgraceful performace? Last season should be left in the past and the new manager should have the option of using these players if he wishes instead of this dragging on and on Blumhoilann, dougie76, RZA83 and 1 other

onefootwillie 1,519
It's done and dusted now. If they lost the plot after the celtic game I can understand but if it was Infront of the squad about the manager and he was there I can see the problem . However a strong manager would have dealt with it. Miller's time was up but Wallace could still be used as back up LB, we have no other. If he is a bad influence then get rid of him but I have never thought of him in those terms. Sweetheart and bornabear
Popular Post TMB 14,167
Glad to see the captain will be coming back and I don't blame him for having a go at Murty after the 4-0 disgrace. After the first 5-1 Old Firm defeat of last season Barton had a go at Warburton. For doing so he was forced out the club and vilified by our supporters. I don't see much difference between the Barton incident, and the one involving Miller and Wallace. Yet there seems to be two completely different attitudes towards Barton and Wallace. gmcf, RJMcGregor, Geo17 and 9 others
Young Bob 1,360
I have no care about the rights and wrongs of what happened but the people who allowed this disciplinary to become a media focal point should all be sacked. Never see Parks of Hamilton personnel issues being reported so why has Douglas Park allowed this to happen at Rangers? Brubear

Reformation Bear 6,453
Fine(ed)…….but what happens next? Is that the end of it and they are back among the ranks as part of SGs plans? Some have said Miller is off but is that official....has he actually left the Club? This has the feel of being about having let time elapse for things to cool down followed by being seen to have taken some action so its a fine - stuff players on their wages can easily afford......then matter closed and its all down to the players preparing for a new season under a new manager. Meanwhile Murty gets his conscience salved by the knowledge that punishment has been meted out. And anyhow what's happening with Murty? Has he gone? Is he still with the Club? Is he still going to be with the Club next season? Torquayblue
